Digital Preservation

Purpose

The journal takes measures to ensure that its content remains accessible regardless of the continuity of the platform that currently hosts it.

Distributed archive

The journal deposits its published content in the PKP Preservation Network, a distributed digital preservation network run by the Public Knowledge Project on LOCKSS infrastructure. Deposit takes place automatically once each issue is published.

The journal has accepted the network's terms of use and has been assigned a deposit identifier. The preserved content becomes available should the journal cease publication or its platform become inaccessible.

Backups

Editorial UNIMETA makes an annual backup of the journal's database and files. The backup is kept in the publisher's cloud storage repository, in a location separate from the production server.

Identifiers and metadata

The metadata of each article, together with its DOI, are deposited with Crossref, so the content can be located even if the platform changes. The journal also exposes its metadata through the OAI-PMH protocol for harvesting by aggregators and repositories.

Formats

Articles are published in PDF format.
